International Tennis & Badminton Tournament

International Tennis & Badminton Tournament

On Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd May, 16 pupils represented the Lycée Francais at an International Tennis and Badminton Tournament at Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub. Six schools from several countries competed in 12 Tournaments across the two disciplines.

Lycée Français co-hosted the event with Marymount International School, with teams from International School of Aberdeen, Southbank International School, International School of London and St Dominics International School Lisbon in attendance.

In addition to hosting the tournament some of our students hosted the visiting school from Lisbon. To those families a special thank you for making their homes available and receiving students with kindness and generosity at a particularly hectic and busy time of year. This is an essential part of these tournaments enabling the Lycée to continue to participate in the amazing exchange programme made possible by our association with the ISSA.

All of the aforementioned schools boast enviable sports facilities on site and have a rich sporting heritage. This combined with the fact that LFCG participated with the youngest team makes the results we achieved seem even more incredible. Also, I was constantly told and complimented by staff and parents about how polite , friendly and sporting our pupils were.
