School Cleaner

Site: Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle

Type: Fixed term contract

Position to be filled from: from 19th September 2022 until 31st March 2023

Role and Key Responsibilities: General cleaning (offices, classrooms, toilets…) under the supervision of the cleaning manager

  • Daily dry cleaning of floors, tables, banisters, walls, windowsills and doors of a designated area
  • Removal and disposal of rubbish
  • Periodical (weekly) wet cleaning (mop) of the floors, dusting and graffiti removal from the area
  • During the holidays, conduct a thorough cleaning of the floors, remove old floor polish and apply new coat.

Expected Skills and Knowledge:

  • Previous experience as a cleaner required
  • General knowledge in cleaning operations and cleaning products
  • Basic Health and Safety training appreciated
  • Excellent team player
  • Dynamic, responsive, punctual and flexible
  • Good command of English could be an advantage

Working hours per year: 22.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday from 5pm to 9h30pm. These hours may vary during school holidays.

Location: South Kensington (London)

Gross monthly salary and benefits:

  • £1,196.66 per month
  • Employer contribution to private healthcare
  • 15% employer contribution to private pension
  • 60 days paid holiday per annum
