The Lycée Français Charles De Gaulle is looking for two Qualified Primary Teachers (Fluent Level English Speaker) from 8th November 2021 to be specialist English Teachers at our André Malraux School site.

  1. Full-Time Fixed-term Contract (Maternity cover) - 21h/21 (100%) from 8/11/2021 to 7/07/2022 (teaching in Years 2 – 6)
  2. Part-time Fixed-term Contract - 10.5h/21 per week (50%) asap or from 8/11/2021 to 7/07/2022 (teaching in Years 2 – 5)

The successful candidate would teach all aspects of English Language and Literature as well as some other subjects taken from the French Curriculum in English in mixed-ability classes.

Candidates should be highly creative, dynamic, energetic and interested in working with our dedicated team of French and English teachers and our motivated young pupils.

Pupils learn to read in English from midway through Year 2, meaning the teachers must be willing to learn how our specialised English Programme has been adapted from the English National Curriculum to accommodate the fact that pupils are learning two languages.

A good working knowledge of French to understand the content of staff meetings and email communication is preferred.

Successful candidates will be invited to an interview held online through videoconference on Thursday 30th September 2021 and Friday 1st October 2021.
