The Lycée Français Charles De Gaulle, London, is looking for a Qualified Primary Teacher (Fluent Level English Speaker) from Thursday 20th January to 17th April 2022 to be a specialist English Teacher at our Marie D’Orliac School site.
This is a local, part-time contract, 19 hours per week (19/21º).
The successful candidate would teach all aspects of English Language and Literature as well as some other subjects taken from the French Curriculum in English, in mixed-ability classes ranging from Nursery to Year 6. Candidates should have plenty of experience with older Primary in particular.
Candidates should be highly creative, dynamic, energetic and interested in working with our dedicated team of French and English teachers and our motivated young pupils.
Pupils learn to read in English from midway through Year 2, meaning the teachers must be willing to learn how our specialised English Programme has been adapted from the English National Curriculum to accommodate the fact that pupils are learning two languages.
A good working knowledge of French to understand the content of staff meetings and email communication is strongly preferred.
