History & Geography Teacher Position
Part time and fixed term –Min 12h/19 (63%) - 01/09/2021 to 31/08/2022
The Lycée français Charles De Gaulle in London is looking for a qualified secondary History and Geography (8h per week) teacher from September 2021 to teach via English the French curriculum to its international classes (Y 7-10) and Baccalaureat (International option of the French Baccalaureat - OIB) classes (Y11-13). The role also involves teaching GCSE History and Geography in our British Section (Y10-11) (4h per week)
The successful candidate will either be a qualified teacher from the United Kingdom or any other English-speaking country with experience of having taught up to at least GCSE level in both History and Geography. Whilst both aspects of the role will be taught exclusively in English, some knowledge of the French language is desirable, although not essential. The role may also suit a French civil servant from the French Ministry of Education with an excellent command of English and experience in International Section as well as GCSE teaching in both subjects.
Candidates should be motivated, energetic and able to work as part of a team. They should be prepared to play an active part in the life of the History and Geography Department.
This is a fixed term and part time position starting 01/09/2021.
You will be employed directly by the Lycée and your contract will be governed by English Law.
