French Speaking HR Assistant

Position to be filled from: 24th August 2023 to 29th February 2024 (maternity cover)

Role and Key Responsibilities:
Working in support of the HR team, the post reports to the Financial Director.

  • Be the first point of contact for users regarding the HR and Payroll software (Civica)
  • Ensure that contractual obligations are fulfilled by Civica (annual upgrades, monitor billing)
  • Manage the administrative side of most Lycée’s recruitments (advertise vacancies, shortlist candidates, organise interviews, communicate with candidates, maintain a traceability of all recruitment campaigns, etc)
  • Welcome new staff and organise their administrative enrolment
  • Help and contribute to the day to day activities of the HR team (staff administration, taxes, certificate of employment, annual time tables, etc)
  • Contribute to the HR Dashboard
  • Input of variable payroll data

Expected Skills and Knowledge:

  • HR qualification and payroll experience is essential
  • Proven IT skills (MS Word and Excel) and ability to learn the use of new IT and IS systems (databases, payroll system…) essential
  • Knowledge of UK legislation regarding Employment law is useful
  • Excellent spoken and written French & English languages
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Attention to detail, organisation, self-motivation, team spirit, patience, availability and discretion are essential qualities

Working hours: 40h per week (1600h per year – pro rata of the contract)

Location: South Kensington (London)

Monthly gross salary and benefits:

  • £2,712.20 pm including all allowances
  • 15% employer contribution to private pension
  • 60 days holiday per annum (pro rata of the contract)
