Position to be filled from: from December 1st 2022

Role and Key Responsibilities: cooks and is responsible for the production of part of the food production.

  • Manages and supervises the team for the production of its section.
  • Specific technical position under the authority of the Chef (supervision, hygiene and safety)
  • As deputy to the Chef and Sous- chef, manages the production of meals.
  • Supervises her/his team and reports to the Chef.
  • Complies with H.A.C.C.P. food hygiene regulations and logs in relevant information into the traceability system.
  • Contributes to and ensures maintenance and cleanliness of catering premises and equipment.
  • Attends committees for menus selection
  • Ensures the smooth running of supply at the lines.
  • Ensures compliance with safety standards and food hygiene regulations.
  • Makes proposals to improve the operation of his section.

Expected Skills and Knowledge:

  • Is a competent cook.
  • Knows H.A.C.C.P. method thoroughly and adheres strictly to food safety regulations.
  • Deals efficiently with time constraints.
  • Uses and maintains kitchen equipment correctly and safely.
  • Manages a team.
  • Is proactive and uses his/her technical skills to improve operations and performance of his section
  • Is reliable and rigorous while able to adapt quickly and responsively to meet Department requirements

Working hours per year: 40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm. These hours may vary during school holidays.

Location: South Kensington (London)

Gross monthly salary and benefits:

  • £2,263.40 per month
  • Employer contribution to private healthcare
  • 15% employer contribution to private pension
  • 60 days paid holiday per annum
