LONDON SCHOOLS GAMES – Under 17 Boys and Girls – VOLLEYBALL

09/03/2017

The Lycée Français was chosen to represent Kensington and Chelsea in the London Schools Games after winning both Boys and Girls Borough tournaments earlier in the year. The teams travelled to The University of East London to play in a tournament where all London boroughs were represented by the schools that had won their respective Volleyball Tournaments.  It proved to be a successful day with both teams progressing to the Knockout Stages. The Girls lost in a close final to Wandsworth, after beating all other teams they had played. Whilst the Boys lost to Lambeth in the Quarter Final, they had notably played a very close match with Wandsworth, the eventual Boys Winners. They were unlucky to lose by one point, reflecting their standard of play at times.  There were some very good performances from the students and they should be proud of their achievements.
