British Section: introduction PDF Imprimer Envoyer

Founded in 1952 by the then Proviseur, M. Gaudin, the British Section has since been an integral part of the "Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle de Londres". We aim to give our students the benefit of the bicultural nature of this prestigious school, maintaining their fluency in the French language and their contact with its culture, while at the same time preparing for British examinations through the medium of the English language.

Students join the British Section at the beginning of year 10 (3eGCSE), mostly from the whole-school 4e year. They take GCSE examinations at the end of year 11 (2eGCSE) and then embark upon sixth form studies, sitting AS level examinations at the end of year 12 (PAL) and A2 levels at the end of year 13 (TAL).

A few students join us at the beginning of year 12, but we do not take into years 11 and 13, as these are mid-way through the GCSE and A level courses respectively.
