The 4e6 discover Bologna

Our 4e6 pupils studying Italian took part in an educational and cultural exchange with Istituto Panzini near Bologna. Our 18 students, along with Ms Ialenti and Mr Jones, were warmly welcomed by their correspondents who had prepared lovely British and French flags.

7 days of cultural and linguistic activities were planned inside and outside the school from the 16th to the 23rd of May.

Our visits included:

- Bologna Archiginnasio (the oldest university in Europe)
San Petronio Cathedral
- Asinelli tower
The Palazzo Comunale
Venezia walk and San Marco
Ferrara: Castle and visit of the Jewish getto
Some demonstration of old artisanal professions now disappearing (how to make honey and cotton/silk)
Our students played a football match Italy-England and we scored 1-0.
They also performed in front of 40-50 Italian students our play which will be presented at the Lycée in July.
